An inclusive term representing the work of practitioners and companies who favour physical forms of communication to communicate narrative and non-narrative theatre performances. Their work is focused on exploring devised performance and/or original works often challenging traditional approaches to spaces of performance and audience theory. These include the work on Zen Zen Zo, Anne Bogart, Jacque Lecoq and Steven Berkoff.
