Reading Aloud compilation video:

This video contains a selection of excerpts from the Pre-Primary to Year 2 Reading Aloud work samples that appear on the Judging Standards section of the website: https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/home/assessment/judgingstandards.

The compilation shows students demonstrating a range of reading behaviours and skills, highlighting some of the ways that students demonstrate decoding and development of comprehension skills. The focus of the student samples is on the students demonstrating competence in relation to decoding and comprehension. All extracts in this video also appear as full annotated samples in the corresponding year level Judging Standards materials.

Speaking and Listening compilation video:

This video includes a selection of excerpts from the Pre-Primary to Year 10 Speaking and Listening work samples that appear on the Judging Standards section of the website: https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/home/assessment/judgingstandards.

The compilation shows a range of scenarios where students are being assessed on their Speaking and Listening skills including; individual presentations, students working with a partner, small group work and a whole class discussion. Significantly, the samples show a diverse range of content being presented. It is important that students are given a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their speaking and listening skills and achievement. Viewing the samples from a range of year levels can be useful for teachers assessing students in this mode. All extracts in this video also appear as full annotated samples in the corresponding year level Judging Standards materials.
