The Authority supports schools in the administration of the OLNA through a number of publications, documents, practice and example tests and the OLNA Helpdesk.View AllOLNA Handbook
The OLNA Handbook from June 2026 provides information on policies, procedures and guidelines relevant for schools, teachers and other members of the education community. The handbook includes checklists for principals, OLNA coordinators and OLNA supervisors, as well as advice for teachers and links to resources.
The OLNA Supervisor’s Handbook from June 2026 provides information on the procedures to be followed by supervisors in administering the OLNA. The handbook includes the relevant information from the OLNA Handbook, as well as solutions to potential technical issues.
The OLNA Operations Manual 2026 provides principals, OLNA coordinators, school IT support staff and OLNA supervisors with step-by-step instructions on using the OLNA dashboard, setting up devices, meeting system requirements, requesting disability adjustments and monitoring students. It also contains solutions to potential issues and answers to frequently asked questions.
OLNA School User Training Modules
The OLNA School User Training Modules are online training modules designed to assist principals, OLNA coordinators and OLNA supervisors with using the Janison platform to enter information into the dashboard, request adjustments and manage test attempts.
The OLNA Writing Guide provides student writing samples that show where the standard has been demonstrated and where it has not.
The Authority keeps schools informed about the OLNA through a regular email service called the OLNA Update. Previous updates are made available following each testing window.
A variety of forms are produced by the Authority each window to assist schools to implement the OLNA. These are made available at the start of each window.

The sample newsletter item for parents provides schools with a ready-made newsletter item to assist in raising awareness of the OLNA. Schools may edit as appropriate for their school's unique context.
